Tempo Plastics has been attending The FTA Forum and INFOFLEX for a number of years, but this was my first experience. Expanded Gamut Printing was a hot topic during the seminars, and although it has been around for years, it seems that the culmination of press, plates, ink and software technologies are aligning to make this a viable option, providing flexibility and process control for the customer and efficiencies for the printer.

Newest Trends in Flexography Highlighted at INFOFLEX 2018

The Forum, a four day educational experience featuring nine informative sessions and more than 40 expert speakers, highlights the newest trends in flexography. INFOFLEX is the sister tradeshow housing 240+ exhibitors for two days, where the industry’s leading manufacturers will be showcasing the hottest technologies, as well as hundreds of products and service solutions.

I have a stack of literature I need to go through still, but the show not only validated the direction we are going in as a company with our current printing processes, but has helped us decide on some equipment and partners we plan on working with in the near future. The bar has now been set for me, let’s see if next year can be topped when the show moves to New Orleans.
