Axe Throwing for Breast Cancer Research

Team Tempo Plastics

Each year Tempo Plastics holds a Pink Ribbon Campaign to raise awareness, show support and donate funds raised to the Royal Victoria Breast Cancer Program. This year Team Tempo took to the axes at Bullseye Axe Throwing in Barrie. Our group was split into two courts, each court consisting of two targets. Our teams began by learning the art of axe throwing. As soon as everyone was able to land a few axes into the target, we moved into the round robin tournament, where each player accumulates points.

Based on how a team member scored in the round robin this seeded each team member in the final portion of the event, the elimination round. In the elimination round team members competed in head to head matches, with the winner moving on to the next round.

The two finalists then squared off for axe throwing glory! The winner, Stephanie Stewart, walked away with a Bullseye Axe Throwing T-shirt to let everyone know she was our Team Tempo Champion! Our entire group was at the edge of their seat throughout the tournament!

We are proud to contribute in any way for the fight against Breast Cancer, and will continue to for years to come.

Fun, Food and Fantastic Prizes in Support
of Breast Cancer

The entire tournament last about 2 hours followed by some great food and laughs. In the spirit of tradition, participants were able to purchase tickets to be entered into a raffle of various prizes.  While sharing a slice of pizza, the draws took place and everyone in attendance went home with a great prize.  All in all a very successful event with lots of laughs and fun for everyone.

A big thanks to the staff at Bullseye. Super organized and really helpful training and coaching was provided to all our team members. We look forward to hosting another Team Tempo event with them in the future.
